He is one of our best eye surgeons but Doctor Roger Welch has many talents.

Roger is just back from Vanuatu after partaking in one of his favourite hobbies, deep sea diving.

He said it was one of the most remarkable dives he had done.

He explored the old wreck of the USS President Coolidge, an old warship which also operated as a passenger liner.

He reckons he was looking into the sunken wreck and swears he saw the ghost of Greta Garbo coming out of the pool.

Next adventure for Roger is in early December when he heads off to St Petersburg for a fine dining and wining experience with the Russian Grande Chapitre of La Chaine des Rotisseurs. He will, of course, be armed with much information about the Gold Coast.
